Scrap Room Tour

So while I was taking the pictures of the banner I thought that I should shot a little video of my scrap room just to show everyone out there what it looks like. I'm not the best at recording so I hope I dont make anyone sick...lol.  I love my little scrap space and I hope you do too!

ok so i tried to upload the video like 100 times and it just was not working...so I added the link so you can see the tour on YouTube. ( I'll get this blogging thing down pack sooner or later)...

Here is a picture of the room too...it looks messy but it is just perfect...i know where everything is...most of the time.  You didn't get to see if the video where I keep my cricut b/c i moved it to work on the banner in my other room while working from home. But I keep the cricut on a small table by the closet door...most of the time the door stays open, I only close it if I know I'm having company...

Scrap Room Banner

So today I was home due to snow storm...and I was able to work on a really cute banner for my scrap room. I cut out the images from my Cricut. I used the Birthday Bash cart for the banner and the letters.  For the flower I used the Paisley cart.  I am so excited about how it came out...and I truly love it!

Nifty Fifties Crop

So I went to a crop this weekend with the lovely ladies of Croppers Delight here in Mahwah NJ.  I was able to get so many layouts completed.

I also created a card for a Tacky Tuesday Challenge.  The challenge was to use the Whale cut from the Create a Critter Cricut Cart, and the word "whale" as part of the sentiment.  It took me forever to decide on what my sentiment would be but I came up with "Whale Really Miss You" instead of "We'll Really Miss You".  It was fun to create. Please see below

I added stiching to the tag as well. A new technique I picked up at the crop this weekend.

Last challenge of the day...I'm tired now plus back to work tomorrow.  Thank you so much MLK Jr. for all you did so that I could honor you on my day off today! So below is the challenge and my layout based off of it.  Now this isn't my favorite but its cute:

The Potpourri Challenge is back.........
Since this is the beginning of the new year, let's take time to remember some events from 2010.

My challenge to you is to do a layout titled 10 things from 2010.
You must list the ten things you want to remember and if you want to use photos you may.  Also include some type of clock or calendar on your layout.

Your layout must be new as of January 15th and cannot be used in any other Colorful Creations Challenge, please remember to load in the gallery also.

A small rak will be provided to the winner of the challenge, which will be chosen using random generator.

Here is my example:

Ok here is mine:

My list reads:
1. Masters Degree 2. Wedding/Family Reunion 3. Carlo's Bakery 4. Cricut Expression 5. Kidney Transplant 6. 1 year with Jordan 7. In the Heights Broadway Play 8. Pool Fixed 9. Twins Baptism 10. Turning 25

Now these aren't all my blessing from 2010 but they are the ones that came to me first...

1 of One

One of my very best friends has a fashion company.  He is truly very talented and has come out with a new line called "1 <3 One".  This line is just so cool that I had to buy a sweater.  Please see his creation below. If you need any information on how to get a piece that is truly "1 of One" just let me know and I will give you his contact information....Thanks Ja!

Every order comes in its own individual "paint can".  Love it and it is a great addition to my craft room!

First Challenge!

Ok so I am not a member of Colorful Creations.  This website is awesome as they have all these challenges.  So I have participated in my FIRST challenge!!! Yay! Ok so the details were:

"So without further ado, I present to you our first "Inspired By" challenge.

Cakes are delicious. Cakes are used for all kinds of occasions, weddings, birthday, baby showers.....just to name a few. But cakes are also beautiful. And colorful. And amazing pieces of art. For this challenge take this Cake and run with it. Look at the patterns, and shapes, and colors. And let it inspire you. Fairly simple, right?

Weeeeell..........just to make it a bit more fun I am giving you 3 key "INGREDIENTS" to play with as well! Along with using the cake as inspiration I want to see the following items used on your layout, card or other project:

Ribbon
Stamping of some sort
And Doodling."

and here is my submission:

I used the colors of the cake as inspiration.  I doodled around the title, added ribbon to my tag and stamped a sentiment that went along with the picture...this was so much fun!

I really  hope I win!

Mini Album/Card

OK so I felt good enough today to make a quick "mini album"/card for a friend of mine. We attempt to penpal monthly but sometimes we fall off...and we have a contract lol. Well the pics are below...yay for my first creative post!

Day 1

Hello! I started this blog so I could participate in scrap challenges.  Most challenges require that you have a URL or Blog in order to participate, so I began this one.  Can't wait to see where it takes me.  Today I am actually home sick with a bad cold...but of course I dont know how to just sit still.   While laying in bed all stuffy, I thought why not create a blog today. So here it is. If I feel motivated enough maybe I will post some pictures of a special gift I am working on for a close friend of mine.

Ok world talk to you later :)
